About Kenwood LEADERSHIP Academy

Our students and staff are committed to living by the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This is the foundation of our school that is rooted in the Leader in Me through Franklin Covey. While on this journey we have been able to provide our community with educational choice for their students. We have been honored by Franklin Covey as a Lighthouse School and Magnet Schools of America as a School of Excellence. These honors are evidence based and achieved through our results on student achievement, family engagement and community involvement.

Welcome to Kenwood Leadership Academy! Here at Kenwood Leadership Academy we are committed to our mission of seeing, inspiring, and empowering the lifelong learner and leader in all of us.

We are a unique neighborhood Magnet School serving students preschool to 5th grade. We are rich in diversity and pride in establishing a culture that emphasizes leadership. We are recipients of the Merit Award of Excellence from Magnet Schools of America, and have also been recognized as a Leader in Me Lighthouse School. These honors are given to schools who exhibit evidence of creating cultures of academic excellence, diversity, innovation curriculum, high quality instructional systems, and effective partnerships (family and community).
